Back in 2016-2017 the OpenAPS project launched Autotune, a tool that "is designed to iteratively adjust basal rates, ISF, and carb ratio over the course of weeks". Autotune is ideal for frequently tuning basic settings based on available Nightscout data (yeah, long live our FGM/CGM data). A big disadvantage was the somewhat difficult installation for most non-tech people. That is where Mark Carrington contributed to our community with the AutotuneWeb project (source code on this GitHub repo, initial blogpost autotuning diabetes settings in the cloud). Many closed loopers frequently use the tool AutotuneWeb.
